Looking a little neon

dust of many travelers

The start of this trip was rocky. We had to deal with hours of clustered stop and go traffic, annoying VW Golfs and PT Cruisers crawling across the Mojave and not letting us pass. And when we got there, crappy steriotypical trance with an impassive crowd.

After left over pizza and warm coke, the music got better, the vibe got better, and we had an amazing time

Bike tour research updates

So where am i going?! I'm thinking either Wrights Beach Jenner or Yosemite. I've never been to Yosemite and i have been to Wrights a log time ago as a kid. But Wrights is off the PCH which will probably be HELL on a bicycle. One lane, super windy, steep in areas, and random zombie fog that rolls in all year around. May be a recipe for disaster? And after seeing this video it's not that appealing to me anymore:

I think this is more up my alley:

If i was cycling around the other side of Yosemeti this is what it would look like! CRAZY!

Traveling Gnome Archives : NYC

Once again, the gnome has impeccable timing!

Uncle Dan and my dad's amazing Paella.

Buddakan : Good place to go if you care about your food looking pretty, and you'll get your table tag teamed by 5 waiters.

Gold Leaf sucks on food, how pretentious

Peter Luger Steak House, now that's more like it! World famous for horribly rude staff, messy plates, and a hunk of meat unlike any other NY steak house.

OK i admit it : the only cheesecake better than mine

Stereotypical tourist hat: super handy and will save your skin! (at least I wasn't wearing kaki shorts with pleats)

The top of the world : Chichen Itza. My little white tush sitting where hundreds of decapitated heads rolled.

Traveling Gnome Archives : Osaka & Nanao, Japan

My room on the island outside of Nanao: Having problems dealing with the minimalist Japaneses life style, no place to store things.

Typical salty Japaneses breakfast I quickly became fond of.

Satoshi (my room mate) disco dancing on the street we lived on in down town Nanao
