My Insperation

I'm not much for reading other people's blogs. For the most part, I really don't care about what kind of cereal you ate this morning or what Jacky said about your tiny penis, and I REALLY don't care about how people want to portray themselves online. (Funny that I keep a blog then huh?) So how did I end up reading this blog that very likely changed my life?

The whole mess started when I was talking to my client about gout and gave him some advice on how to cure it through alternative medicine (chelation therapy.) My curiosity got the best of me and I typed in "gout" on google image search. On the first page one picture caught my eye, it was a picture of young looking feet and underneath it said "too young to have gout." I was really curious what that was about, so i clicked, and BAM there he was!

The dirty bike hippie that I now see as my inspiration for working hard to get fit enough to do the kind of exploring that he's done on his bicycle. This summer i'm planning to do go on at least one long bike tour. Maybe to Wrights Beach up north?

Something cool

I met a guy at burning man that sung about having a starfish heart. It was a cool song, wish I could remember it. He claimed that he sung and talked in a southern accent sometimes so people could relate to him better or think he's more down to earth than he is. Pretty pretentious but sadly it works. Does a starfish heart mean that your polly? haha

So I guess it's a good thing that alcohol doesn't spoil. My buddy gave me a bottle of the first legalized absinthe you can get at BevMo. It kinda takes the fun out of it that it's legal now. I don't think I've even bought alcohol since i turned 21. I had my first sip of legal wine at a party in the desert several weeks ago, does that count? "going out for drinks" is still such a foreign concept to me and i don't think is going to be a big part of my life. It's unfortunate that that's a big part of dating for most people.

Buuurrr! and the burner solution

It's true, LA has made me such a wimpy little baby when it comes to weather, but I've always hated the wind! Today i had an epic battle with the Santa Anna winds opening my apartment windows. Having an old apartment is like having an old car, there's a lot of maintenance involved! I thought i would just be able to move into this cute little building built in the 1920's and set up a cute little place and leave everything else to the maintenance people. I was sorely mistaken.. Maintenance people don't care that your toilet doesn't work after two months of repeatedly trying to fix it, they don't care that the previous tenant painted over the windows with black paint, they don't care that the heater doesn't work, and most of all, they don't care that the windows don't latch all the way... I mean, it's never that windy in LA to blow open the window repeatedly making it impossible to heat up the apartment right?

I love my apartment, no really, I'm really proud of all the work I've done on it. I'm no handy man, but I really do try!

wow man it's a MOON BOW

I went to Moon Tribe for the first time last weekend, it was really cool! Good people, i felt pretty safe. I got to meet some new people and i saw a ring around the moon for the first time. It was rad to share that with Andrew, it was like the world was smiling down on me that weekend. Then i saw a ring around the sun for the first time on the way home. It was really a nice to get out of LA and go on a vacation, but it took a lot out of me. I've been so moody and my energy has been drained all week. I feel like a bitch.

Moon Tribe is rad! i think i almost like it as much as burning man. There's a lot less going on, but i get the same good feeling from it. I feel like i'm a part of something, i get this awesome feeling of togetherness with people. Maybe because we are all out in a harsh environment experiencing the same stuff.
